COMMUNITY GROUP FACILITATOR RESPONSIBLITIES

PREREQUISITES:

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Select at least one Apprentice within your group. Meet on a regular basis to discuss Community Group issues and to keep each other accountable. Allow Apprentice(s) to lead during times you feel comfortable.
  • Very Important!! From the beginning…plan to multiply! We want to keep the group’s small, effective and life changing!!
  • Make a one-year commitment to fulfill these responsibilities, scheduling employment, course work, vacations, etc… around the weekly Community Group meetings.

WEEKLY DUTIES:

  • Be immersed in scripture in order to answer questions biblically and clearly. Further, check weekly scripture references from lesson plan to better explain and incorporate them into the study. Look over curriculum…in short…be prepared.
  • Be mindful of the time. Make sure there is enough time for prayer, study and fellowship…still leave room open for the Holy Spirit to lead in a different direction if needed.
  • Pray weekly for your group. Be praying for leaders in the various Community Group roles (i.e. Apprentice, Host etc…)
  • Follow Up on people who have missed. Let them know that you missed them.
  • Reach Out…always be encouraging your group to reach out to friends, co-workers and others in their lives with the gospel. Encourage them to be inviting their friends to their Community Group and to Worship with them.
